The Notorious Gabriel Diaz Harlequin comics eBook Cathy Williams Karan Dan

The Notorious Gabriel Diaz is a knockout, a story about revenge and love. The second tale Inexperienced Mistress is not on the same par. It's not a bad romance but it definitely lacks the wow punch of the first story.

In the Notorious Gabriel Diaz, Lucy discovers that her father has embezzled quite a lot of money from his employer, Gabriel Diaz. Lucy remembers that Gabriel had shown an interest in her two years previously and she travels to London to find a way her family can pay back the debt.

Gabriel is willing to cancel the debt as long as Lucy agrees to be his mistress. He has never forgotten her and sees this as his perfect opportunity to catch the one who got away.

Nothing goes as planned. Both the leads discover their feelings are not disengaged. Lucy is sweet and unaffected and so incredibly nice that she completely disarms Gabriel. Lucy discovers that Gabriel is noble and lonelier than she ever imagined. I simply loved their story because the leads were so incredibly interesting and they communicated their thoughts well.

The second story lacks the charm of the first couple. Their relationship seems forced and the heroine is so uncertain of herself that she second guesses her actions quite a bit. I felt the hero liked the heroine just because she was different from his leggy models rather than for her own style and substance. Half the time the two are combative and the other half, the heroine is flexing her independent streak by shutting out the hero.

The Notorious Gabriel Diaz Harlequin comics eBook Cathy Williams Karan Dan Reviews

Interesting, fast pace and with romance on top of sleeve!
An inexperienced mistress catches a notorious ruthless tycoon. All I can say is Rock a By baby. It was a fun read
Cathy Williams is one of my favorite HP authors. This book is good, but does not have the humour that characterizes her best books. Also, while the h was likable as was the H once their relationship started to develop, the whole premise of their relationship was a little creepy - it's hard to warm up to a H who blackmails the h into having sex with him whether or not she is really attracted to him. Also, wanted h to be a little less gullible about her awful family.
For some reason, the 1st time I read this book, it did not stand out in my mind. When I re-read it, I absolutely loved it!!
Gabriel was adorable (and I guarantee you I have never used that word to describe a HP hero). He is just cute with still keeping all manly mannerisms.
Lucy was easy to like as well. No ugly fighting or putting each other down- just a really good book that left me with a smile.
From time to time I really enjoy HP books because I know exactly what I'm going to get; strong Alpha H's and feisty, gorgeous h's. The stories are fairly short so I don't have to live through too many big misunderstandings etc and I always get a good hea. Both of these stories lived up to the formula and provided a nice escape for a few hours.

The first story was about an innocent h who wanted to get her father out of serious trouble with the H's company. Although the synopsis leads you to believe that she has to give up her virginity to do this, the H was far more honourable than that and gave her a choice. This was not a 'comfortable' read and the H was very difficult but it was a nice story.

The second story was of a weekend fling between the H and h, which lead to an unplanned pregnancy. Rich H suspicious of the h but coming around eventually. I really liked this story.
I loved loved loved this story- after a long line of terrible romances this one is wonderful. Gabriel is single and wants to stay that way because his father had a long list of wives- guess no one had told dad he could just date. anyway, this kind of childhood could sour anyone on love and marriage. Lucy on the other hand had a wonderful childhood and parents very much in love. Her mom had suffered a stroke and because dad thought she was going to die stole some money from Gabriel's company to take mom on a vacation. Mom didn't die and he had started to put the money back but unfortunately Gabriel's accountants found out. This story was awesome and well put together even though it was a little generic, but I love a certain type of storyline and this is it. I gave it five stars and recommend it highly.
Book 1 is really, really good! I loved Gabriel and Lucy. Especially Lucy who was so outspoken. It broke my heart at the end when Gabriel had another woman in the house already. Fortunately that didn't last long, but when Lucy said, "no one... I'm no one" it just broke my heart.

Book 2 was just OK. I didn't really care one way or another. The H had been widowed so this was one of those "not gonna love again cuz I got hurt" which is always a dumb reason not to try. Although I can sympathize because it does take guts to try again after your spouse passes away.

Recommend Book 1 highly. Book 2 not as good...
